NFTKEK Bird: Privacy Policy
NFTKEK Bird is a browser extension that shows NFTKEK’s on-chain signals for the NFT collection you are looking at on OpenSea. This page explains exactly what it sends and stores. The short version: it only ever sends the collection you are viewing, and it does not collect anything about you.
What the extension sends
When you open a collection or item page on opensea.io, the extension reads the page address and sends one of these to app.nftkek.xyz:
- the collection’s name in the address (for example pudgypenguins), or
- the chain and contract address of the item you are viewing.
Nothing else goes with the request: no wallet address, no account, no browsing history, no page content and no other sites you visit. The extension only runs on opensea.io.
What our server keeps
- Answers are cached for ten minutes per collection, so many people asking about the same collection cost one lookup.
- To stop abuse, the server counts requests per IP address in five-minute windows. The address is stored only as a one-way hash inside that counter, and the counters are deleted within a day.
- To know how many people use the bird each day, the server keeps a one-way hash of your IP address mixed with a secret and that day’s date. It cannot be turned back into an address or linked across days, and it is deleted once the day is over. After that, only two totals are kept: how many users and how many requests that day.
- Like any web server, our host may keep standard access logs for security and operations.
Links you choose to open
Two links in the extension only do something when you click them. Get priority for the Bird pass opens the NFTKEK whitelist page, marked as coming from the extension; anything you enter there is covered by that page, not by the extension. Report it opens X with a draft post to @nftkek_ naming the OpenSea page you were on, which you can edit or discard before posting.
What the extension stores on your device
Your three settings (whether the bird is on, whether it shows the score bubble, and which side it sits on), saved with your browser’s extension storage. If you use browser sync, your browser syncs them.
What we never do
- No tracking, analytics or advertising in the extension.
- No cookies.
- No reading or changing anything on OpenSea beyond showing the bird.
- No selling or sharing of data with anyone.
- No access to your wallet. The extension cannot see it, sign anything, or move funds.
Not financial advice
The bird shows signals computed from on-chain data. They are not recommendations to buy or sell anything.
